About Me

ABOUT ME

Spontaneous, honest, artistic/creative, energetic, talkative, interested in foreign cultures and languages, easy-going, witty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My dear friend Paul pointed me to couchsurfing.org
This is my first time, so I'm very curious!

Interests

I paint portraits, write articles and short stories, I do an internship at a council health organization, I like to read books and scientific articles, I like dancing and meeting new people.

Also: yoga, tarot and other oracles (like I Ching), reading books on psychology and development (like the Tao Te Tjing), cooking, trying new stuff, exploring mysteries and talking about philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: mainly arthouse, thrillers and intelligent horror movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting some locals in Fortaleza, Brazil, who took me and my (then) boyfriend on a trip to a village, where we also made a trip with a dune buggy and ate superfresh fish right on the beach. We gave them the eyes of our fish, as it appeared to be a local delicacy... I guess we were not ready for it yet.

Learning an original Nigerian dance in the ballroom of a Lagos hotel, which made my feel very awkward and at the same time friggin' alive. My travel partner and I were the only not-Nigerian guests, and we were being merrily cheered upon and being photographed by a large party of apparently local guests. The band singer even complimented me with my moves which made me blush and shy away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Dutch, improve your English (unless you are native), teach you how to use a sewing machine, do face/body paint, make a painting together, bake Dutch pancakes.

I'm also good with internet and computers, so if you need some help I would love to show you some tricks on for example keeping your mail inbox clean and protecting your computer against viruses.
