About Me

CURRENT MISSION

in search of something real that can never be taken away

ABOUT ME

i grew up in el paso, tx, the middle child of a middle class family. Half mexican, half german, the black sheep of the white side, the white knight of the mexican side, I am pretty much the crossroads of my family tree. Have had a steady job since i was 14 years old ranging from shoe salesman to ups trailer loader and for the last 8 years i have been in the service industry. I waited tables for a number of years, was a line cook in an italian restaraunt for a few years and most recently i was a bartender in a wine bar. I love meeting and talking to new people and relish face to face interaction which is probably why I haven't been able to submit to a cubicle or lab or any other "real job" other people have tried to push on me. I've never bought that philosophy and while i don't know if there's a better way, i do know that there are different ways and i'll find the one that suites me. I turned 25 and didn't even have a passport and thought that was a heinous crime against myself. So for 2 years i plugged all the financial leaks in my life, cut out all the unnecessaties (like car, gas, alcohol, nicotine) and managed to save enough money to cut my earthly binds. I sold all my things (except my road bike and my snowboard) and bought a round-the-world ticket and set off. I bought the ticket, am taking the ride, and appreciate all like minded allies i can get. i'm finally living a reality that i manifested myself and am walking a path that i can be proud of.

PHILOSOPHY

from countless hours spent studying biology, i cannot deny the beauty and magical perfection in the complex machinery of life. I believe in a higher power but i can't say for certain what it is and if i could i believe my head would explode. Organized religion has not been for me, but if it betters your life and helps you be kind and help others i am all for it. I believe in the golden rule in all it's forms and i don't trust fanatics no matter what side they're on. I am a huge believer in synchonicity and that if you fully submit to the present the world will put you where you need to be as long as you can be patient and flexible. I believe family is not just blood and tribes can sprout up anywhere.

Interests

love running, biking, swimming, surfing, snowboarding, relaxing, reading, long walks on the beach and fluffy animals. i'm also not immune to an occasional party (i am human after all). Anything active, meeting new people, seeing new things, having my mind blown, dancing in the streets, sleeping late on sundays
