About Me

Hello! I was born in Papua New Guinea, a small little island just north of Australia. I have lived in Australia my whole life except for right now, where I am currently residing in Whistler, Canada. I graduated from a communications degree in 2018, just learnt to snowboard and am fond of beers, live music and ramen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking a year long break from the real world to do some travelling and hoping to make some new friends, eat some good food and explore some beautiful new parts of the world along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like most kids born in the 90's I have a soft spot for Harry Potter. I usually have a fiction or an autobiography on the go but I thought I'd just get that part out of the way. My taste in music is diverse and I'm fond of a live show whatever the genre. I haven't had much time for movies lately but a good Julia Roberts romcom/Seth Rogan trashy film is my go to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite experiences usually involve an open body of water, a sunset/rise and the people I love. One of my favorite memories is from an Island off the coast of Malaysia called Lankawi. I spent the day with my parents travelling the islands and mangroves by boat; warding off monkeys, feeding meat to eagles, swimming in lakes and the open waters of the Indian ocean and then finally watching the sunset over it all. One of the bittersweet things I remembered about it was how my parents weren't able to join me in the water because they had never learnt how to swim! The charm of immigrant parents is that their children can do a lot of things they never had the opportunity to.

Teach, Learn, Share

Desperately clinging to the duolingo app to get me through 3 weeks of travel in Central America.
