Hi everyone! My name is Judy and I am currently doing a semester abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm originally from Vancouver Canada and this is my first solo trip (and first time signing up for couchsurfing!)

I am currently in my 4th year of studying commerce with a specialization in accounting at the University of British Columbia. I decided to do a semester abroad before going home to graduate and starting full time at one of the Big 4 accounting firms as an auditor! Aside from that, I am also currently a piano teacher back at home - this is where my true passion lies. When I was younger, I did a piano performing tour around Europe for 2 weeks. Memorable venues include The Museum of Mozart and the Dusseks in Prague, Lichtenstein Palace in Vienna, and the Bösendorfer Recital Hall in Vienna. Also performed in various churches and performing halls in Vancouver, Osoyoos and Seattle.

I enjoy meeting new people but also like time to myself - I like to call myself the introverted extrovert :) I'm also a self proclaimed foodie and I am always attempting to go to the gym.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At home, I am not always the adventurous type. I like the comfort of my own home and knowing my surroundings/environment very well. However, since I am on exchange across the world, I figured why not! Couchsurfing will give me a whole new experience than hosteling/school, and I would love to meet locals to learn about their everyday lives in these countries!
