About Me
What's to say? I live in the most beautiful bit of the world, in my newly renovated, very large townhouse and spend my life on holiday. I love singing and spend most Thursdays with my friends singing our little hearts out. We lunch together at The Bird Wing Cafe at Tumblegum on the banks of the Tweed. I enjoy the simple things and have no longer any need to meet deadlines or stress about anything. I am still learning new things and every day and every thing is an adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Initially because my daughter, Sara had couched surfed through Europe & UK and later in North & South America. I was planning my California trip in 2013. Now planning my 3rd trip to USA in 2015. I have limited funds and Couch Surfing is the way to go. As I know live on the Gold Coast, I can offer a great time to fellow surfers here in Australia.
Interests
Well I love to travel, cook, play the piano & uke, sing, party and generally be with friends. I read a lot and spend time at the beach most days. Riding my bicycle and walking for miles on the beach are my forms of exercise, although I'm investigating adding hiking to the list.
My family is very important and I love family get togethers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jeff Buckley, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, The Beetles head the list of favourite musicians/ song writers. I also enjoy the music of Luka Bloom. Currently I'm into spy novels by Alan Furst, Robert Littell, Dan Fesperman & John Le Carre. My favourite book is "Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
I'm not really into movies. If I do take out a DVD it would be in the foreign language category.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My claim to fame is that I have seven children. They are all successful people. I had a new house built for me 2 years ago at age 66 and now live in a newly renovated, large 3 bedroom townhouse in Paradise on the Gold Coast. The most amazing thing I've done is the Landmark Forum.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Landmark graduate. The conference I attend each May in San Francisco is The World Conference for Global Transformation. Some 800 Wisdom Course Graduates come to together to report on the progress of their "Promise to the World" and be inspired by amazing people and fellow participants. I have an impossible promise to have all people choose to live free from cancer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can assure you that as my guest will be given the keys to my home to be your home for the time of your stay. My "spare room" is large and spacious and actually has room and bedding for 4 people. The whole upstairs has been remodeled & is brand new. You will have access to the new kitchen, downstairs and may choose to provide for self or share. The beaches are 10 minutes drive, the motorway north & south at the end of my street, bus stop to/from GC airport is 2 minute walk and this bus travels on to train station (10 mins walk). Also, the complex' swimming pool is 100m from my front door. You may use the bicycles. Please note that my home is designated alcohol free and I would appreciate some communication closer to your stay if you book months ahead. Also I would appreciate mention of any special needs that you may have such as oversized bedding.
