About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is: "Relaxing Vacacion in Rhodes in July" and "Discovering Europe in August/September this year"!

ABOUT ME

Hmm... it's always quite hard to describe oneselves.

What I am:
- Concerning my personality I see me as a reliable person, with whom you can good chat with and is - mostly - quite calm.
- I'm a tolerant non-smoker (If i smoke, then only water pipe with an Arabic friend)
- Outwardly i seem to be quite a neatly person... outwardly... xD
- I'm very friendly to animals.

I spend my time with...
- Right now I am studying "Technical Physics" at the "Johannes Kepler University Linz", which claim - during the university year - most of my time. Sometimes I think I really have to be crazy to study this. :D

What i like:
- A good start of my day - with tea, muesli and newspapers.
- Going out in the evening in nice pubs/bars/restaurants, talking with people i like while drinking a pint of beer.
- Travelling by train - there is no more meditative way to get around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CouchSurfing experiences are very few - i'm such a CS-Newbie, which will be changed (hopefully).

Interests

Hmm... My interests are...
... i really enjoy cooking! Especially i like cooking vegetarian food and fish... but more vegetarian food. Therefore i the asian kitchen and the "light" mediterranean kitchen are my preferable ones. Yes.. i know... it's not typically Austrian to cook without meat. :D
... visiting cities and get in contact with foreign cultures! As one of my interests is kitchen from other countries, I also like to learn, which culture is behind it! CouchSurfing is such a nice possibility to get to know the people from other countries and their habits.
... music! Unfortunetly only passiv - but i'd like to learn something! Maybe I have undiscovered talents. Below is more about my music taste.
... PC! In past times more than now, nevertheless I'm watching the development at the PC and technic sector. I also made some websites and tried to get into graphic design.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have to admit, that i read books and watch films much too seldom.

... Books: Currently I am reading "Mitsukos Restaurant" by Chrisoph Peters. My favourite books so far are the ones by "Simon Beckett" and "The Parfume".

... Films: My taste concerning films is very diversified - i like thriller (Saw) as well as Sci-Fi ("Star Wars" rules - especially the old trilogy), fantasy ("Lord of the Rings" is a great book-adaption - but I think that the books are better)!

... Music: http://www.last.fm/user/Bobu12 ! As you can see there I'm listening music of different genres. From Rock (NIN, Smashing Pumpkins,...) to Indie (Muse, Radiohead,...), Metal (especially Tool,...), Singer-Songwriter (Tori Amos,...), a little bit New Wave (Depeche Mode,...)... And i also like Lounge and some other styles of Electronic Music, if I want to relax.

Teach, Learn, Share

What i want to learn:
... Spanish! I learned Spanish at school, but I haven't been practicing for two years. I nearly forgot everything about it - although it's such a nice language.
... making music!
... drawing and designing!

What i could teach:
... Austrian cuisine! Eventhough I'm cooking quite seldom typical Austrian dishes I'm capable of produce something which could be considered as Austrian food. :)
