ABOUT ME

Well, Hendrick and I met met when I started university in Potsdam. We moved into our apartment about 10 months ago.
Hendrick is working as an engineer in Berlin, and I'm still a student at Potsdam University - but recently trying very hard to finish my thesis paper (American Literature).
We are both very laid back, like to read, watch movies or just hang out. We don't need to jump off cliffs or do other wild things when we are on vacation, but we like to explore the area, get to know the places we are visiting and relax.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard of Couch Surfing through a friend...and I just got curious. We think it's a great idea to have people from all over the world come and visit. We would love to host people but we are also curious what it will be like to stay with locals, and get to know places in very different ways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far...but vacation's coming up in September...so we'll see.

Interests

As soon as I'm done with University there are a ton of books I finally want to read...no research papers, no academic literature...just plain fiction, crime novels etc. ;) I like arts and crafts, and I picked up sewing a while ago...it's really nice to make something with my own hands.
Hendrick, since he is an engineer, is very much interested in all kinds of technical stuff...so glad, 'cause he keeps our computer up and running. ;) He also likes himself a good book or science magazine once in a while.

Puuhh, where to start?
My favorite book would be any book by Minette Walters (British crime novelist), the Harry Potter series, and Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye". My favorite movies: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Little Miss Sunshine, The Yes Men fix the World.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing thing I did: standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon....just took my breath away.
