About Me

Hi there!

I'm Jules, a French open-minded (freshly graduated) student living in Rennes, France.

My motto:
"Focus on experiences. Not things"

I can't stand staying inactive, I am constantly trying to improve myself and to discover new things. I am a positive and enthusiastic guy. Voltaire said one time, "I've decided to be happy because it's good for my health". I apply this quote every day 👌

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why book a boring hostel when you learn so much and have a lot of fun by visiting a local on Couchsurfing ?

Interests

I am a climate and social justice activist, interested in environnment, politics, social interactions.

I like all kinds of art. As a student I used to spend my free time in a small multicultural festival, an incredible experience.

I like cooking, I love to experience new lifestyles, eating habits. I like cycling, walking around :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some great music here: put this Spotify URL in your browser and press "Shuffle Play" :) https://open.spotify.com/user/mrjx/playlist/5pDdprivlChOrIiV2AXyhL?si=mExVQa77SIedWhfhm_p76w

Three books that matter to me:
- "Sapiens, A Brief History of Humankind" from Noah Yuval Harari,
- "L'âge des Lowtech" from Philippe Bihouix
- "Le Petit Prince" from Saint Exupéry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My road trip in Namibia. Amazing landscapes in the middle of nowhere, with two friends of mine. Feeling offgrid doesn't happen so many times in your life. When you are alone in the wild, without cellular network, internet, and GPS, and with nobody around within a 100km radius, it's such a particular and exciting feeling.

Driving a scooter in the crazy Saigon traffic was also such a thing (it seems basic for Vietnamese people, but for me who never drove a scooter before, that was like woooooow) 🛵 🇻🇳
