About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm surviving my way through school right now (almost...done....) while working an internship that bores me to tears daily. Because I can't stand being bored I play piano (jazz mostly, but I was classically trained) and I'm also on the boxing team at U of MD (where I essentially get beaten up for fun - yay me). And when that doesn't amuse me, I go on random road trips where I generally don't plan anything until the night before (oops...). But hey, we could all use a bit of spontaneous humor in our lives!

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, play harder.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never surfed before - first time!! Hoping this is a good experience bc it seems like an awesome idea.

Interests

Piano - taught for a couple years, now I just goof off at parties/weddings/events and get paid for it. Not bad huh?

Boxing - I had too many brain cells anyway. Figure I should knock a few of them out

Sleeping - you have no idea how much I miss this (damn you engineering degree!!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm one of those culturally strange persons who knows absolutely everything about music before 1985...and pretty much nothing after that. I love listening to classic rock and jazz...but I can stand pretty much anything! I've also barely seen any movies (I've never seen a disney movie...I know, weird), but I devour books like no other. I guess I'm an old soul when it comes to entertainment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 2 month RV trip across the country once - hit 35 different states. I met so many incredible people, many of whom I still talk to today. The differences between people on opposite coasts, in different states, even in cities right next to each other is truly a fascinating thing. I learned so much about this country and really got to appreciate how much of a melting pot we are.
