I am a PhD student living in Victoria, BC, Canada and about to be traveling in Europe to present at a conference on environmental ethics. I study philosophy and am also an avid bird watcher, and in my free time I like to make sound recordings of bird songs (and other soundscapes), I'm a DJ and love to dance, and a dabbler in the area of electronic music creation. In recent years I also built a tiny cabin on wheels where I lived for about three years in a rural area before returning to the city last summer. I enjoy walking around the city and exploring sounds and listening, and my research interests have to do with how human perception and imagination are involved in ecosystems and the more-than-human world. I am friendly and like to meet new people!
