Chi sono
I'm currently finishing my master's degree in psychology. However, it's not like you think it is. I don't have anything to do with "the couch" or therapy in general. It's all about statistics, biology and neuroscience - that's why I've been working at the experimental psychology lab for three years, doing stuff with brains, data and loads of duct tape. I'm also into science communication and tend to get into uncomfortable party conversations about esoteric and homeopathy.
I did a research semester over at Cambridge, UK and even though I'm probably your typical German (punctual, sometimes a bit too serious and way too obsessed about grammar) I secretly dream about living a British live. Not so much since Brexit anymore, to be honest.
I earn some extra money as a photographer - mainly horses, weddings and people in general. I suck at architecture photos.
Outside of (and sometimes inside) the lab I'm a singer songwriter and love to visit open mic nights. Furthermore, I'm a proper cowgirl as I do western riding. Or at least that's what I did for 15 years after time and money forced me to have a break - I'll be back in the saddle, though.
And then there's the usual stuff. Reading (will George Martin make it until the last book?). Films and series (from Preacher over Supernatural to Modern Family and Dr Who). Memes. Loads of memes. Gaming (stuff like Dragon Age, The Witcher, God of War - call me predictable). Music (Bastille. Stormers unite!).

Same reasons as you, I guess. Get to know international people. Visit countries. And yeah, confession time: not much money. Captain obvious strikes again.

Musica, film e libri
Music: Bastille, Cold War Kids, Twenty-one Pilots, NEEDTOBREATHE, To Kill A King, The National, anything that involves a banjo, clapping and a choir (generally known as folk). And (even though I'd rather count it as comedy and I rather watch it than listen to it - Tim Minchin).
Films & series: Sherlock Holmes (film and series - Robert Downey Jr. was just unlucky that the BBC came along), Nightcrawler, Zombieland, A Monster Calls, Black Mirror, Preacher, Modern Family, Dr Who, The Cornetto Trilogy, Harry Potter, GoT, New Girl - and trash horror stuff in general. And I forgot like 90% of my favourites.
Books: classics like greek mythology or Goethe and stuff, crime (e.g. Simon Beckett) or rather witty stuff like The Gun Seller (whoop, Hugh Laurie wrote a book), mainstream like Harry Potter and GoT - and when I'm bored, even the romantic and "funny" novels my mother gives me.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
My research semester in Cambridge and the visits once a year definitely belong in that category. It's hard to come up with an enlightening moment when prompted.
Insegna, impara, condividi
Not sure what to make of that headline, but in Germany, I'm slightly drifting into the science communication scene. I got a blog and a twitter account - nothing can stop me from teaching people about statistics, logical fallacies and quacks. Always happy to visit a science slam.
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
Let's talk nerdy. Let's visit an open mic night. Let's go running or hit the gym. Let's bake a cake. Enjoy my German accent. Let's go pet some horses. And, most importantly, I can shoot your new profile pic.
