Im Juli. For years, I thought traveling was something you had to do with someone else. I didn’t realize I could just pack my bag and go alone. When I finally did, it completely changed my life,, I discovered the freedom, confidence, and joy that comes with exploring the world on my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first started traveling I would oftentimes stay in hotels, but I realized something was missing — they were comfortable, but not memorable. I legit have less memories of the places that I have traveled too. 😅 Then I tried hostels and loved the social atmosphere and meeting other travelers. Now I think Couchsurfing is even better: you still get that social connection, but also the chance to meet locals who know the city’s real secrets and hidden gems.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew to Iceland solely to see the northern lights. I went out everyday and night in the hope I would catch them. I never did. Until my very last night. Another traveler and I decided we would give it one last try and grabbed some e-scooters. We drove to the western point of Reykjavik. And suddenly he screamed and BAM I saw them. The most beautiful phenomenon you can see with your own eyes. The northern lights. (There is a picture in the photo section!)

I was really happy I got to see them and it made me realize to not give up hope or goals because everything happens at its own pace.
