About Me
UPDATE APRIL 2019: We May not be able to host as we busy these days. But send a request and we will try!
I have a lot to update here, but I’ll try to keep it soft, sweet, and neat :):) Younes and I met and married in Turkey and now we have returned to his homeland to continue creating and dancing with life. As I am now looking at Tangier as a home I am currently immersing myself in this culture and within his family. Seeing how I can harmonize as my adaptation evolves. We may not be able to host at this moment (APRIL) as we are organizing the home and learning more about life, but we also may be able to.... So, send a request and we’ll do our best.
Other notes: I have never hosted on CS, but my husband has brought many travelers into his home. From my understanding as a surfer there are some things to consider when choosing a host. Let me share my interests and what we can provide for you.
I am a keen foodie (plant based) so I’ll share with you many fibrous favorites as I find the best “hole in the wall” locations. I can stroll with you through the souk and we can admire the sights and smells. Thrifting....man do I love second hand. Not much conversation can be shared but we can hunt for treasure like pirates.
Conversation...I like to try to understand and question the mind. See where the algorithm has led me and where I can alter it to improve quality of life. If we let our guard down we can connect more profoundly. What troubles, struggles, triumphs, and history have you seen?
Positivity...I find the only thing we can control is the lens in which we see this world.
Love...the only thing that has seemed to make this life worth living.
And, and, and. We are never ending stories...
Tell us what you like when traveling and we can try and provide the best we can.
Sending love

UPDATE FEBURARY 2019: I fell in love in Turkey whilst volunteering in a small village along the southern coast and I couldn’t be more happily bewildered about it! Younes and I will soon set off with strong thumbs to hitchhike around Turkey and then greet this beautiful and vast land along the way. What will happen? I’m not quite sure. But it has been one memorable ride thus far and we are eager to see what else life has in store.
UPDATE May 2018: I am traveling through Croatia al moment, and I am actually wrapping up my first Couchsurfing experience as my thumbs tap the screen of my phone. What a freaking lovely way to travel and experience genuine kindness and humanness! I want this to be a predominant method of travel from here on out!! Anywho, I am seeking life living, love giving, open minded individuals that are trying their best to improve themselves. Let’s delve into the complex of our minds and question ourselves and perspectives. Let’s get soulful and let our emotions and wisdom stream as water. Let’s draw out the inner artist and express! Also, If you’re interested in exploring health and want to go hiking around this beautiful terrain that would be some vegan icing on top of the cake!
(Not current info, yet insightful) I am traveling through Spain seeking to befriend her as a close friend, to understand the way of life and grow through the cultural immersion! I’ve always found myself very stimulated by new experiences and authentic tastes of foreign culture, and for that I find myself here to feast on all that the day-to-day spanish life has to offer me: music, dance, tapas (las de la dieta vegana ;) history, the personality of Spain!!
I believe myself to be a very positive individual and I would like to share this with whomever welcomes it. For this trip in particular my focus is attune to language immersion, music (flamenco, guitar, some singing perhaps!), diy crafts (I brought beads along for jewelry), plant based nutrition/herbal medicine, and growing to be a better, more wholesome and loving individual! Invite me to your way of life and we can learn from eachother. Voilà!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want an authentic taste of culture from the eyes and perspectives of those who live within it. A more intimate connection to the particular way of life as I feel there is wisdom and knowledge particular to our specific corners of the world.
Interests
During this trip I am particularly interested in music, and as of the last few days, flamenco. Although, many kinds of rhythm, dance, song move me in a special way.
I have a keen interest in health and keeping it simple with a plant based diet. Please share your knowledge of alternative medicine/therapies with me! Hmmm I am pretty active and I like to stay moving so, let’s keep dancing, go on a hike, or something else to keep our blood moving!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmmm....a hard one to pin point as my musical selections correlate with my mood and these tides fluctuate. When alone I tend to listen to melodies that can lull you in like soft ocean waves. More focus on instrumental than vocal but good lyrics and a lovely voice often reel me in further. Contemporary orchestra or symphony type stuff (most played song is a 7 minute track called “Howling” by Sacred Ground- give it a listen!) I love to dance, so anything that can get my feet groovin’ is also a plus. Dance, Latin, nearly anything aside from heavy rock and metal.
Lyrics with soul so like Allen Stone!
Throwbacks that pull out old sentiment
I tend not to watch movies or TV as I was raised with very little. Though, I’m into indie and foreign films as the perspectives are much more personal. I loved “El Secreto en Sus Ojos”, “Captain Fantastic”, and many others that I simply don’t recall at this moment.
Books books books. I’m not much of a reader and I used to feel shame because of it. Though, I honestly don’t retain much of the information and thus I have found the beautiful world of podcasts. Thank you Ted Talks and your countless inspirations!!
