About Me

Name? - Julia

Age? - Does that matter? But yeah I've got 23 years full of adventures so far :p

Hobbys? - Puh, I actually have quite a lot of different things I like to do, but let's talk about this when we'll meet up :)

To tell you at least some main facts about me in advance:

Beer or wine ? - Both (always up for a drink and a nice chat)

ice cream or chocolate? - chocolate ice cream?!

Pineapple on pizza!? - I don't mind

Obviously, I love food - especially cooking food with friends
----
Since, I'm studying landscape ecology, I spend most of my time outside in the nature. Either watching birds, collecting herbs, ... or just hiking, cycling, ... , dancing in the rain, trying to catch the gold at the end of the rainbow, ...
----
I always take the opportunity to try out new things and get to know new, open-minded and interesting people - I love to discuss stupid things and laugh about serious issues - As an unrested soul I would love to hear your story. You live and learn.

Don't hesitate to write me a message.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I made good experiences with my friend (Bettina Haas) during our stay in Ireland last year, so I decided to create my own account.

Interests

Since I'm studying landscape ecology, I'm interested in everything connected to Nature.
Currently, I started doing yoga and meditation to take a break from my busy work, kinda helps actually.
But I also do Powerfitness and Running. Sometimes I'm tired of sitting at my desk and I just have to run to get my mind free and listen to good music.
Last year, I worked in a restaurant (had some really fancy cooking courses as well) - still trying new recipes and cooking for my friends.
This season, I try to harvest some vegetables in my urban garden construction (hope it works and I'll get some tasty tomatoes)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to dance to electro music, but I'm also a big fan of the 80/90s and indie.

My bookshelf is full of literature about plants, birds and the environment.

Puh I have diff movies I like to watch. Here are some of them to get an impression of my taste:

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Gran Torino
Django Unchained
Shutter Island
How to be single
Year one
...
Sorry, but I'm too lazy to write down all of my favourites xD

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To mention "one" thing: Once I went to the Alps with some other students and we crossed a glacier. It was kind of dangerous, but amazing!

But actually, I do and see amazing things everyday. Starting in the morning when I have breakfast with my roommates. Challenging myself during the day. Finishing the day in my cozy bed.

Teach, Learn, Share
