About Me

Hey! I am a 24 year old student from Cologne, open minded, and interested in a lot of stuff. So far during travelling I got accomodation in hostels or I have stayed with friends, I had known before - now I would start to get to know new friends through travelling.

If people who know me only a little would be asked "who is she?" they would probably mention two aspects of my life, which really are a big deal. Veganism and the goth scence.
Veganism: I went vegan from being vegetarian two and a half years ago for ethical reasons. As probably every vegan person I enjoy cooking delicious colourful (yet simple) meals. :)
Goth scene: Not so many colours there, right? :P I love all styles of dark music and it means a lot to me. Since 2013 all my summers in Germany are festival summers and I have met a lot of adorable people there. I would really like to get to know international goths - though I know that my home country has the biggest goth scence world wide. I love dressing up, though I will probably not be able to do that while travelling. ;)
What else: I like to be recognized as 'Julia', not as someone who is part of a group. I do love a lot and I enjoy the 'something is new' experience with joy. I am a strange mix of an extrovert and introvert person - party and deep conversations, I am good for both, I guess.

During the last month of my stay in Cologne (going to Ireland, see below) I can not accept guests yet, because I live in small flatshare room. After my Erasmus semester, I will live in a bigger flat, which will allow me to invite Couchsurfers in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do seriously want to travel the world during my lifetime and I start now because I am still a student, not bound to anything. ;)

My first planned trip:
In the autumn term of 2016 I will finally study in a foreign country. My destination: Maynooth University, Ireland. I will take a flight to Dublin on the 2nd of September, 10 days before I can check in to my student apartment. I would love to use those days to get to know Ireland and Irish people.
Update: I decided to stay in Dublin for my first weekend (2nd - 4th September). Then I plan to go to Limerick (about 5th - 7th September), then Galway (7th - 9th September) and then Dublin again (10th - 11th September).

UPDATE: So my Erasmus semester is over :( But I'll be heading back to Ireland and to new found friends, and afterwards to Scotland in March <3 I will update my CS profile soon, and when I have an own flat back in Cologne, Germany again I hope I can host people :)
