About Me

Hi, I’m Julia and I’m a globetrotter always ready for a new adventure! I am from a small, lovely village Szarów but I live, work and study in one of the most beautiful and popular cities in Poland – Kraków. I love meeting new people from all over the world, getting to know their cultures, and exchanging thoughts, traditions, hobbies, and all those good vibes with each other. I wanna explore our beautiful world more and more, so let me share my positive energy with you and let's go for the next adventure together! xx

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why Couchsurfing? It’s easy. I love travelling and people. It’s the best way to get to know international friends, their culture, interests and spend a great time with them in a new place I wanna explore.

Interests

I always say we have to use our lives as much as possible! “You only live once”, right? That’s why I try many things and have looots of interests.
I love music! I’ve finished music school, where I’ve been playing classical guitar and a little bit piano for some years. I also have cajon (box percussion instrument) and play it for fun. I like singing (karaoke maybe?), going to concerts or music festivals.
I cannot live without sports! If I have time I go swimming, rollerblading, cycling or go hiking with my friends. During winter I really enjoy snowboarding, skiing or ice skating.
I also like dancing, especially at parties with my friends when I can be a party animal!
Movies, series and books are part of my life - whenever I’m at home, not studying, this is what I do!...but if I study I usually read a lot of books about human mind and body. It’s really interesting!
I’ve tried many other things in my life (even martial arts and ballet the same time haha) but the most important thing is that I LOVE TRAVELLING and I wanna see beautiful places, experience new things and meet wonderful people even more. Hope you’re the one who can help me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, movies and books are my life! I love trying new things so I enjoy all types of them, tho I can say that I rally like listening to rock, old but gold music (60s, 80s!), sometimes disco or latino when I feel like dancing and other catchy pop, electronic or rap songs.
Movies, series and books? Every time is a good time for them! I like thrillers, crimes and psychological ones but as I said, I love trying new things, so everything’s good for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love embracing life and adventure wherever I go. I took part in hitchhiking races from Poland to Italy and Greece. I joined a Work & Travel program in the USA as a lifeguard. I bought a car with friends and road-tripped through 21 states with no plan. We kayaked and camped on Pennsylvania River islands, and rode horses in the Wild West. While living in Málaga during my Erasmus exchange, I went on amazing solo trips. I also went snowboarding and paragliding in the Alps. Later, I received a Japanese government scholarship and solo-traveled through Japan and other Asian countries. During my Asian adventures I became a certified scuba diver in Okinawa, hiked volcanoes in Kyushu, attended a Hindu wedding in Rajasthan, trekked through the jungle in Thailand, explored dark caves in Vietnam, visited tea plantations in Malaysia, rice fields in Bali, and celebrated New Year’s Eve in Taiwan. Along the way, I met wonderful people who turned every moment into a beautiful memory. Looking forward to the next adventure!
