Overview
About Me
I'm a conservationist from California who is a serious animal-lover, outdoor adventurer, traveler, and food appreciator (especially pastries!). My work has mostly been with primates (macaques, gibbons, lorises), but I've also done research on bats, birds, reptiles, and a whole host of other cool creatures. My work and travels have taken me across 5 continents, bringing me closer to my life goal of living on all 7. Lately, I've been living and working in Australia but since I'm too old to renew my working holiday visa (so sad!), the plan is to travel a bit around Tassy and Indonesia before heading back home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My work in conservation has taken me all over the world and I've been lucky enough to meet some incredible people along the way. I love the notion that no matter where you are in the world, you can find a friend and a home. Though my profile is new, I've been lucky enough to share similar experiences through WorkAway. To me, staying with locals is the best way to get to know an area and learn more about the culture.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
