About Me

A German with a serious case of travel addiction. I'm open minded, I love to meet new people and discuss anything and everything with them, learning about their culture, their languages... I'm currently studying European Studies and Languages in Scotland. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think I've said it a few times already, I like meeting new people. A place always looks different from a local perspective and I like to see beyond the "touristic views" and really get too know the city or area and try to get a feeling for how it is to actually live there.

Interests

As I already said, traveling and meeting new people (strangers are just friends you haven't met yet...) I like reading and doing different sports like swimming, diving, track and field, climbing and skiing. I love to cook and I always try to learn new recipes from the countries I travel to. I also like to try new and crazy things.

Music, Movies, and Books

This would be a very extensive list, if I included all of them, so here some examples:
Books: Le Petit Prince, The Alchemist, Sherlock Holmes, Lyra (a magazine, not a book), the Final Empire, ...
Movies: Amelie, La La Land, Easy A
Music: Indie, Musicals, Disney

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing wild mountain gorillas in Rwanda
Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro
Bungee jumping from the highest commercial bridge jump (215m)
Learning how to dive
Stayed at a shrine in Japan

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my culture with other people and teach them some German. In exchange I want to learn everything about your country and culture and maybe you can teach me some words in your language. I also enjoy discussing pretty much anything and love a good conversation (and a glass of wine with that doesn't do any harm)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Ethiopia, France, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Lesotho, Morocco, Rwanda, San Marino, Scotland, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Tanzania, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
