About Me

I'm Julia, from Finland. Really outgoing and never bored with life!
I've lived about (Italy, USA, Finland) and travelled a lot with my family. I started traveling alone a couple of years ago, and always find myself checking flights .. ^^ the winters in Finland are long and dark, so getting away is more than a pleasure. I'm good at helping, and have worked as an assistant for festival production and event management.

My friends would describe me as positive and easy to get along with, I know how to look on the bright side of things, and love growing and learning about being a better person. People fascinate me and I love getting to know different cultures and hearing peoples different experiences and views. If we were in school together I'd say my favorite subjects are psychology and biology, though I'm terrible at memorizing things!

I love to dance, and I love music, it brought me to become a DJ and organize some events in the Finnish underground electronic music scene.

I'm also quite down to earth and will always appreciate being surrounded by nature in simple manners. I want to enjoy life to the fullest, treat myself and others in the best ways possible!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah, music... Too much to say! Always keep an open mind for music, you might love something you never heard of tomorrow! Not too much Into the mainstream stuff but mostly no genre limits, as long as it's cool as.. ;)
Movies... Cloud Atlas was pretty amazing.. umm..
Books!! Yay!! Phillip Pullman (when I was younger I loved it), Paulo Coelho, Ken Follets pillars series is Ah so capturing!!! Nick Hornby is cool and oh so many others I can't think of right now... :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organised the Office of a festival, was in change of all volunteers, shifts, communications management and much more! It was a lot of work, I learnt so much. The event was MetsäFestival 2014, if you know this kind of music have a look at the lineup you might be pretty impressed :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Open mindness mindfullness and being friendly! Travelling alone has taught me a lot about life and people, to handle stress and grow with experiences, to give up control and join a wave.
I love my "problems", because there's always a solution :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Something about myself and my culture, I'm quite a bubbly character and I love talking about some subjects that go deeper than small talk. Music!! A lot of it and totally variable. Dancing with Poi, if you want to learn.
I'm not an amazing cook but there's a few dishes I've mastered well :)

Haha I have a funny thing where I wipe a kitchen counter and end up tidying the whole place spotless, no one seems to mind this feature :D

Find out! I get along with pretty much everyone (it's better if you're not SUPER quiet and shy, I can't do all the talking!)
