About Me

I currently live in Chisinau with my boyfriend. We met at university, where we studied film and television directing. Therefore, art, cinema, and the philosophy of life are among our favorite topics, in reasonable amounts, of course. I love Ukrainian history, cinema, and literature. I also love nature, do amateur astrophotography, and photograph landscapes. I love learning about national identities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock music: Scorpions, Judas Priest, Pixies, etc. I love Ukrainian cinema, my favorite director is Yuriy Illienko, the same one who filmed with Parajanov and they had a big falling out. I love reading, but I haven't read much. Over the last year, I've been getting more familiar with Ukrainian classics. Basically, I love dense research literature on historical or linguistic topics. Maybe now I want to read something more fantastical. I am learning Romanian, so I am interested in books written in simple language. My favorite book: Kholodny Yar by Yuriy Horlis-Horskyi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Odessa. I went to Kholodny Yar. I photographed astro landscapes at -22 degrees Celsius.
