We are Lars (from the Netherlands 🇳🇱) and Julia (from Germany 🇩🇪).
We are currently doing an Erasmus semester in the beautiful city of Sofia, Bulgaria.
We love to explore new countries and cultures and try out new things! That’s why we set ourselves the goal of visiting all European countries in the next two years and we would really appreciate if you could help us reaching that goal by letting us stay on your couch on the way. 🤝🏽☺️

Algo increíble que he hecho

One new thing we both tried here for the first time is hitchhiking! The first time we did it, it was really spontaneous and we were not sure if we would make it, but in the end we succeeded! 🥳
Since then, we had other great hitchhiking trips and experiences and made some great friends on the road. We can totally recommend hitchhiking to everyone who hasn’t tried it. Our current goal: a hitchhiking competition to Greece with our friends (fingers crossed that we get there first 🤞🏽).

We would love to share whatever you want to learn/ get to know more about 🤗

We can share our languages - German and Dutch. It is really fun to learn some German/ Dutch words, some are easy, others are really hard to pronounce. Try it yourself: squirrel is „Eichhörnchen“ in German. (Okay you caught us, that was one of the hardest words haha).

We would love to share our Dutch and German culture with you and we might also be able to share some Bulgarian culture. Even though we’ve only lived in Sofia for a couple of months now, we have already experienced a lot and can also share some Bulgarian words with you! :)

When it comes to cooking, we are probably not the best cooks. However, if you would like to know more about German/ Dutch cuisine, I‘m sure we can find some meal we can prepare for you! :)
We can also share a lot of our basic knowledge about Germany/ the Netherlands if you’re interested in learning more about those
countries. 🇳🇱🇩🇪

In general, we are very open and would love to share with you anything that you are interested in. We are always happy to enlarge our own knowledge and mindset as well and would strongly appreciate you sharing with us whatever you want to share 😇
