About Me

I'm an 18-year-old volunteer in Czech Republic working in a Czech-German-kindergarten. I like to learn new languages and to spend time with children. That's why I decided to move to Czech Republic for one year. What else? I'm a very open-minded person especially for things like different cultures and traditions. When I was in China because of a student exchange I could proof this attitude because the food there can be very unusual for European people. In addition my parents are Germans born in Russia. That's why I grew up with two languages and cultures. Generally I'm friendly to everyone and try to be as helpful as possible. I'm absolutely not stubborn and that's why it's easy to make compromises with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here at Couchsurfing because I want to see as many parts of the world with my eyes. Not long ago some people recommended to me this platform and I often heared only positive aspects about Couchsurfing. Now I want to try this unique way of traveling on my own with some friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have any favourite music. Normally I just listen to the radio. Some artists I like are Avicii, Ed Sheran, Melanie Martinez, Cro, Mark Forster, Lena Meyer-Landrut and some more else.
A great movie I found is "Nerve"! I absolutely like the way the film is shooted and the music is awesome! And the best about the music: There is also a song from Melanie Martinez!
And about some books: I really enjoyed reading "Me before you", "The fault in our stars", "paper towns", "The Hunger Games, "The Golden Compass", "Göttlich verdammt", "The Princess Diaries" and much, much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to concentrate on only one great experience! But I thing my best experience is doing the European Voluntary Service. I learned so many things: How to get along alone in a foreign country, being responsible for yourself, living alone, how to find many international friends, what working in a kindergarten is like and im still learning! - czech for example ;o)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey
