Hey! My name is Julia. I was born in Moscow, Russia and now I’m living in Dubai for half a year.
I’m an artist. In my arsenal there are: oil paintings, sculptures, interior design projects, installations and various author's confectionery.
Also I keen on yachting, enduro, motorcycling, diving, snowboarding and can’t imagine my life without doing yoga and meditation into the morning. According to that, I’m planing to study for to be a yacht captain like my brother. And I still haven’t decided in which country it is better to do this in order to obtain international rights and not feel restrictions (like now i feeling in Moscow). So I will be glad if you have already passed this path and could share your experience with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make international friends. Improve my skills in languages like English, French and Germany. It will be better, if I would know more about style living in Paris.

Meeting other Countries, Cultures and exploring new Places is the best self-improvement for me. Traveling teaches you a lot, especially when you are able not only to explore a new country or a new city, but when you also get an opportunity to explore a new culture: to dive into local people’s life and to see how they live, what they are concerned about and what their everyday routine is. Moreover, try to start live like a local resident for a few days. (I cooked typical Sicilian dishes like pasta with pistachio, explored the city and got to any place by bicycle in Antwerp, fished and collected shellfish on the beach in the Netherlands and so on)

When I ask for a couch, I amn’t only driven by a desire to save €. I can find here on CS what people usually can’t find in hotels - atmosphere. I really like to use from time to time the “Hangout” option on CS. I met lots of incredibly fun and knowledgeable people here and with most of them I’m staying in a touch by now.
