About Me

Commonly known as the girl who always has a smile on her face, I am quick to make conversation and turn strangers into friends.

I live to eat, explore and learn.

I am eager to experience, engage and share life at a heightened level of understanding. I strive to challenge my every perception through all 5 senses.

Food and coffee are significant ingredients with which I chose to season my life.

I'm almost always carrying my Leica –long live film!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because actively giving to a community is important to me, and I've always wanted to refer to myself as a surfer... but I'm not cool enough to actually surf!

Interests

Tapping into all 5 senses –especially when cooking, eating, sharing a meal or having a drink.

Analog Photography.

Philosophy and conversations about ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the Orchestra with a complete stranger who stopped me as I was walking past Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre. I thought perhaps he was homeless, but to my delight he was a travelling student of philosophy who had spent quite some time living on a remote island without access to a shower. He was just passing through Vancouver on his way home to Ontario. We talked for all of five minutes before he asked me if I would join him to the Orchestra –it was uncanny but I accepted. And hip tip: rush tickets are only $20!
