ME AS A PERSON

As a person I´m open-minded, cheerful and whimsical. I think I´m not the most stereotyphical Finnish person - at least more talkative.

Someone would say I´m a naive with all my reforming ideas and maybe I can admit it myself too. I have a quite strict principles related to enviromental issues and the rights of people and animals but I don´t preach or try to convert people around me to think the same way.

I have to have always some kind of project or new things going on, like somehing to organize, like a trip or something. I never get bored actually.

I like to do everything in a different way than others do. Sometimes it´s hard cause many things on earth has been done already and I don´t want to keep up with anybody.

Hosting as much as I can and also surfing when I´m travelling. I haven´t been too much in the CS gatherings and parties. That´s the thing I need to try some time. :)

Interests

I love doing sports! My favourite event is boxing and I run, swim and go in gym for keeping fit. Dancing is also so much fun. I would like to try some new, more extreme events like climbing or scubadiving when I have time.

I enjoy music: singing and listening. I don´t watch TV but I enjoy movies. I´m a quite bad at being critical when watching movies so I like many.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many kinds of music: indie, 60´s, 70´s and 80´s rock, reggae, blues, ... It would be fun to have just one favourite band like once in childhood there was Spice Girls but now there is many bands and musicians I like. At the moment I´m keen on bands like Faith No More, The White Stripes, Jenny Wilson, Junip, The Black Keys...

The old favourites I have: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The System of the Down, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane...

The Finnish bands/artists I really like and I can warmly recommend to others to try as well are The Irrationals, PMMP, Tehosekoitin, The Scandinavian music group, Yona, a rapper called Pyhimys...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in Himalayas. The top was over 5km from sea level. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G landscapes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking together, showing around the city, teaching Finnish language and culture....
