Freshly arrived in Toulouse mid march and curious to see what this beautiful city holds in store for me. I'm planning to be here at least for the month of April, hopefully even a bit longer.
Generally happy, sun and summer loving, my favourite pastime: chatting with (old and new) friends.
I enjoy chilled days with a book but also love exploring cities and landscapes, climbing, hiking or spending nights out. Big fan of apéros en terrasse !
Also, my French badly needs some practice ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, my housing situation right now doesn't allow me to host but I hope to still get to meet some of you lovely people, maybe for a drink or two or a walk sometime.
I surfed quite a bit, hosted a bit less
Travelling (spontaneous, hitchhiking, bus, train, unplanned)
being outside (hiking, walking, having a picnic)
concerts, cinema, exhibitions, ...
listening to people who talk about their passion
cafés and bars
good books, movies
being around people
languages - literature, linguistics, learning them, listening to them,...
conversations, preferably with coffee or wine
Music, Movies, and Books
In principle I prefer books to films. And both of them don't need to have lots of action to please me - I like narrations for the sake of themselves.
Books/Authors: Marge Piercy, Audre Lorde, Gioconda Belli, Didier Eribon, T.C. Boyle, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Harry Potter ;) ...
Films: Rafiki, Book Smart, Feel Good (series), Parasite, Winter Sleep, Cold of Kalandar, Her, Moonrise Kingdom, La Haine, L'écume des jours, The Science of Sleep, The Weekend, Auf der Anderen Seite, Virgin Mountain, Victoria
- art and independet ones
Music: Fenster, James Blake, The xx, Sudan Archives, Bat For Lashes, Benjamin Clementine, Hak Baker, Ebow, M.I.A.
