About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy every minute I'm given!
ABOUT ME
I'm from the deep South and would never have imagined in a million years that I would've traveled much outside of the US. As fate would have it though I seem destined to roam, but that's all good with me as I am having the time of my life. I just moved to S. Korea recently and am looking forward to whatever adventures lie in wait for me here. I love meeting new people, seeing new places, and having my expectations, perspective, and world view turned on its head repeatedly with each new experience.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live, do what makes you happy, set your own standard, avoid 'conventional wisdom', and live without regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am pretty new to couch surfing, but would love to meet up with anyone and everyone who wants to hang out in my current city of Busan, S. Korea.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots!!! None via this site, but could count maybe 10 friends' couches in the past year!
Interests
Soccer, trying to play guitar and failing, beating Japanese kids at Tekken, writing, taking pictures of the world that surrounds me, various martial arts in the hope that I will one day fulfill my 9 yr old dream and be just like Sonja from Mortal Kombat (or Chameleon..as soon as I learn how to morph), peanut butter, chai, Brazilian politics, and doing my level best not to accidentally order live raw baby octopus (..that's just mean..) Although there are undoubtedly other things that are worse that I will actually accidentally order in my efforts to avoid octopus youth.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-- The list is long, very long. To make it short, I like everything from classic rock like CCR and The Band, to some samba and bossa nova, to some 80s New Wave, to the occassional folksinger or singer songerwriter, to emo - punk - indie rock. All time favorites are Cursive, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Pavement, The Cure, Jawbreaker, Thursday, and Lawrence Arms.
Movies--Rushmore, Kill Bill 1, The Big Lebowsky, The Cable Guy, Bottle Rocket, El Mariachi, V for Vendetta, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman
Books-- It ends up that I mostly tend to read Non-Fiction, but I wish I could find more creative fiction that I like. Oscar Wilde is good. George Orwell. 1984 is a masterpiece.
