ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm a third year PhD student at the University of Miami studying Environmental Science and Policy. My research broadly looks at the psychology of natural resource decision making - how we value things, how those values translate (or don't) into daily choices, and how messaging and education can shift things in a positive direction.
This is the longest I've been in one place in a while - though I'm hoping to travel for field work in the next couple years. I'm compensating by trying to pick up some fun new skills. Right now the focus is on guitar and foreign languages in particular. Looking for spanish (shouldn't be too hard in miami) and french language practice buddies. In exchange, I can teach you salsa or lecture you about theory in environmental anthropology. fun!
PHILOSOPHY
life should be simple and generous
