ABOUT ME
Hello everyone,
We are Julia and Slava a young couple originally from Ukraine (Julia) and Kazakhstan (Slava). We live in France since 2012. Recently we have obtained our Master Degree in "Advanced robotics" and started to work.
We are found of modern technologies, engineering, computer science and of course robotics. In the free time we like to travel, to see new places and to improve our language skills. Julia has been a member of big international student organization BEST where she got an important knowledge about organization of events for engineering students and started to host people that visited Kyiv. Both of us like to do sports and would like to try new types of it!
We spend a lot of time with a computers so on the weekends we try to get rid of them, to walk in the nature, to visit friends or just to chill out near the sea.
We don't like strong alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, luxury stuff, expensive clothes or to go to restaurants every day, we do believe that all beautiful and sincere things are free and usually not material.
PHILOSOPHY
"There are no mountain that we can't climb"
"If you want to be someone - be yourself"!
"If you want to be a sun, don't be a cloud"
"Don't cry that it ended, smile as it was"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We like to meet new people that are talkative and like to travel. From our side we also like to observe new places and meet locals.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have had some guests while doing our studies in Nantes. We have also tested how it is to be surfers while travelling in Switzerland, in the region of French alps and Turin.
Once we even hosted a cat, he took the couch for 4 days and it was an unique experience!
Interests
Robotics, programming, LEGO robots, travelling. We like all types of travelling plane, train, bus, car and of course blablacar.
We also like to make pictures, we like flowers and mountains. We don't like when every day is the same, and if we stay at home during the weekend - it's a wasted weekend. We like our friends but always happy to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Forest Gamp, Les misérables, Les Choristes, Atoinement, movies with Johnny Depp. Julia also like Friends and How I met your mother series.
Books: many, almost every book that we have read brought us a new understanding of the world and new ideas. Julia likes Max Frai books, A. Kronin books and stories of M. Bulgakov. The last book that really-really inspired her was "3 comrades" by E-M. Remark, you have to check it out!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Julia:
I had a chance to travel and to see very nice places, new cultures and traditions. The most exciting places that I saw were: Dead Sea in Israel and Dune du Pilat near Bordeaux, France.
Vyacheslav:
I had an opportunity to live in the USA for 4 month participarting in the WorkAndTravel student exchange program, the strongest impression I got were the Niagara fall and the New York city.
Teach, Learn, Share
We like talkative people, the ones that are easy-going and real travelers. We don't like people that drink a lot or use drugs. CS is a nice idea not only to travel in a cheap way but also to meet new friends for a life.

We can share our passion to live, our thoughts and stories about our adventures.
