About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm brazilian, living close to São Paulo. I'm back to my country after living in the USA for one year and travelling a lot around the country - I can easily say I've been more around in the US then in Brazil.
After being an Au Pair in the US my way of seeing the world changed a lot, travelling became an even bigger passion and made me want to go to many other places in the world.
I love meeting people, making friends and talking. I'm a journalist who loves writing and taking pictures.
Comunication is my thing, I'm an extroverted easygoing person who loves to make new friends and share stories.
Love scrapbooking cause I see in it as a way to put together photography, travelling, writing and crafts. That's the way this artistic journalist found to keep memories and feelings alive.
I'm a family person, deeply attached to my family and roots, but discovered that I'm also a person of the world while living in the US.
Things you need to know about me: ice cream is my all time favorite food in the world (and bacon gets the close second place in the list); I live my life day by day (always waiting for the next chance to party - somehow); I love langagues and miss speaking english on a daily basis; I don´t know how to handle compliments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed 3 times, so far. Two of them alone, one with a plus one.
Couchsurfing is a lifesaving and lifechanging experience. First, 'cause is a great way to travel cutting expenses way shorter, but that's not the most important part.
As I said, I travelled alone in two of these experiences, and meeting local people was a bless. I truly made new friends, they taught me a LOT (for real!) about the area I was in, we exchanged travelling experiences, had a beer together, went out etc. It´s soo great, everybody should try it!
For those who never surfed, I strongly recommend it. And, trust me, before doing it I also though a person had to be nuts to do it.

Interests

Traveling, taking pictures, movies and tv series, music, meeting people, sleeping and partying.
I love learning languages and my goal in life is to speak more than seven of them.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music, love brazilian popular music, bossa nova, pop and country, mostly anything with a dancing beat.
Watching movies/tv series is one of my favorite things to do with my free time. i watch mostly anything except horror movies, thrillers and anything with spirits (although I watch True Blood, Vampire Diaries, these this terrify me).
About books, I really like reading, but it's been hard to make it work with the routine. I read fiction (big fan of best sellers and magical stories like "Harry Potter", "Eat, Pray, Love", "50 Shades of Gray"). Also like to read classics, they make me feel smart and educated haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being an Au Pair.
Seeing The Phantom of the Opera at Broadway.
Travelling alone out of my country.
Experiencing the beauty of Machu Picchu.
Going to the parks at Disney and Universal Studios.
