ABOUT ME
Where can I begin? I was born in 1990 in Cologne, Germany and finished my high school in a small village close to Cologne. I used to live with my parents and since my parents are travel fanatics ;), we went on holidays (vacations) 3 times a year which brought me mostly to Spain, Greece, Croatia, Italy and once on a cruise through the whole Mediterrean Sea..
When I was 16, I went abroad alone for the first time and spent one semester at an American high school in Oceanside, California. I used to live in an amazing host family which is like my second family now.
I also fell in love with the United States and the American lifestyle which is why I had decided to go to study close to Seattle, Washington State after finishing high school in Germany. As I saw my studies in the USA as a gap year, I studied environmental studies and business leadership at the Evergreen State College to try something new out. During that time, due to an International Language School on Campus, I met many different people from all over the world. I made amazing friends who are actually from Colombia, Taiwan, Japan, Venezuela and Panama and without living in the US, I would have never met so many international friends.
After applying and getting accepted for a full-time degree at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, I had decided to spent my last academic quarter in the USA in Hawaii, at Hawaii Pacific University.
I spent an amazing 3 months in Honolulu, Hawaii and yet again, I made many international friends and would never want to miss this international lifestyle again.
Since September 2010 I'm in Aberdeen, Scotland and I must say, I love the university, my life and my friends. Besides studying Accountancy and Management, I am working as a freelancer for a Swiss company for which I am basically doing Internet Marketing and IT stuff. With the money I make, I try to travel around the world - which is why I have decided to register on Couch Surfing - to meet even more international and internationally minded people like me.
If I had to describe myself in a few words, I would definitely say I am: outgoing, very friendly, eager and there is almost no time of the day, during which I am not smiling or laughing :)
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy and accomplish your own goals while not stabbing others in the back ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Whenever I'm free, I try to be a good host for people visiting Aberdeen. Later this year, I might take the chance to couchsurf as well :) I'm also always up for just meetings, coffee - whatsoever...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a couple of lovely people and it was amazing! I hope I get the chance to couchsurf in the near future :)
Interests
I love to travel! For me, traveling is the best activity because I just love to meet people from different cultures and to brighten up my horizon with new experiences in other countries.
Other than that, I love swimming, playing tennis, fencing, listening to music and meeting up with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My time in Colombia. I loved everything about my stay there, it was simply amazing. I have never felt so welcomed in a country like there - Colombia is not an ordinary travel destination but everything I saw and did there was simply amazing. My friends and their families and even the friends' of my friends families welcomed me so much, invited me everywhere and were proud to show me the beauties of their country. Also, they were proud to tell everyone they knew that someone from Europe visited them - apparently, that's a big thing ;) I will definitely go there again and my dream is to study Spanish at an ILS in Bogotá :)
