About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want my kids to keep experiencing that friends can be found all over the world and that being a good person does not depend on where somebody is coming from but is a choice that is made.

ABOUT ME

I have the most beautiful life. Grew up in a small town close to Hamburg, lived as a nanny in Nice, France, became a geriatric nurse, worked a few years, then decided to become a Mom. My lovely daughters are now 11 and 9 years old and wonderful human beings.
We have lived with their Dad in Las Vegas, USA, which we enjoyed a lot but I got very homesick so all of us moved back to my hometown.
For common reasons that many couples seperate, their Dad and I did as well. We did have a great time together, that is why I decided to leave the family pics on here...
Strangely enough for me I fell in love with an amazing human who happens to be a woman. Thankfully my kids and environment are very accepting of me being with a lady and I am grateful of the time and country we live in that makes this possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Attitude is everything. Decide to be happy! Most people are good people. There is so much more to life than the day-to-day routine if we only dare to meet new people and learn new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We host and surf- I love both very much!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My brother has been a CS member and I always thought that it is a great thing but not with kids. I thought that it would not be safe... I am amazed and see this great opportunity to travel the world, meet similar and open minded fun people who enjoy the world and life. Who do not sit at home and use their kids as an excuse not to do anything saying "with kids you cannot travel"... We visited Paris, France when Marie was two month old and it was just perfect. I do not see why your little ones shouldn't be exposed to different cultures with different colored clothes, different smells, different tastes, different music and other sounds like the special sound of an other language!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folklore( Irish and Czech for example) and french songs.
My favorite books are teaching how to lead a richer life, be a better person and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing we could experience was the births of our daughters.
I was very impressed by the "Goldtafeln" ( golden plates?) in the Marcus Dom in Venice, Italy.
And being on the ferry between Wales and Ireland and see nothing but the sea in whatever direction you are looking at.
Breathtaking are Churches like Notre Dame in Paris, France and the Koelner Dom in Koeln, Germany.
Worth to see are the giant parking lots for bicycles in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The gigantic trees in Yosemite National Park and the Narrows in Zion National Park.
And seeing Christmas in your childs eyes...
No words to find for the honor to sing and pray with and for the old persons who passed away in the nursing home I am working for.

If you have any questions regarding seniors that need care, I am happy to answer any of your questions as a geriatric nurse.
