Admittedly, this is the hardest part for me, writing about myself.
I grew up in Germany, mostly raised by my mother and grandmother. My dad worked a lot, as dads often do.
I lived in Edinburgh for 4.5 years, which was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Loved the people, the culture, the nature and the Whisky. It was the hardest and best and most rewarding time. I met so many wonderful people. Before a little thing called Corona Virus hit, I hosted Couchsurfers from all over the world. I had a great time doing this. It opens up a whole new world, and you learn about so many different cultures, perspectives, which broadens your horizon. Something you don't really get just living by yourself.

I also lived in Lisbon for 7 months, yes, that short, and it turned out to be one of the hardest challenges of my life. But here too, I met some fantastic people. Great friends that I wouldn't want to miss in my life today.

I'm a creative, a bit sensitive, but uncomplicated and spontaneous person. Maybe a little too spontaneous sometimes. Happy to try almost anything, in life, art and food. I try to be optimistic and kind, which is challenging at times in this modern world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting people from across the globe and learn about their lives, cultures, ways of thinking.
The people I've met so far were wonderful.

Please don't offer to bring loads of presents or search for me on social media. That happened once, and it honestly gave me the creeps.
