Hey! My name is Julian, I am from Germany and 25 years old. I finished my studies this year (in Germany we call it “something with media”) and since then I am traveling and would really enjoy meeting local people and having experiences aside from tourist attractions! I love to be creative and have a special interest in videography and photography (but I think video is a bit cooler 😄). Always down to try new stuff! Sometimes I am a bit of a shy person but I try to seek discomfort and get over it. Trying to be as open-minded as possible. This is also my first time traveling and so far I love it! Wanted to try out some Couchsurfing now as well. :) Oh and I am a vegetarian.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can enjoy almost every kind of music and can find some good songs in most genres. Maybe it’s because I am German but I enjoy Techno Music and going to raves.

Films: Shutter Island, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The fantastic Mr. Fox, oh and I loved Oppenheimer!

Books: Tbh I don’t read that much nowadays but recently I came over a book called “101 Essays that will change your life” and I loved that one!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met Dan a retired music teacher from Thailand in Laos and shot two music videos with my phone for him. We visited a temple and even got monks to play along in the videos. It was a fun experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to make videos or photos. Maybe I can also show you some card games and maybe some German drinking games. 😄 I am interested in learning about your passions and whatever you have to teach! Before I started traveling I tried out DJ-ing, if someone can teach me that, that would be really awesome!! And sharing? Sharing experiences together I would say.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can take nice photos for you or maybe make you a little video, if you would like (if you have a shop/business/hobby/story/ etc you could use photos or videos for). I am just a bit limited with the equipment I have, but that shouldn’t be a problem.
