I am someone who is passionate about social policy; loves to travel and experience different cultures, especially the arts; enjoys spending time outdoors; and likes to build community. When travelling, I try to live with a local mindset, taking public transit and experiencing local cuisine and shops. In life, I try to live each day to the fullest.

I am backpacking this summer in Europe and Canada. I hope to connect with locals and experience beautiful places. I am hoping in the fall to start hosting couch surfers to return the favour and introduce travelers to the beauty and history Ottawa and Gatineau Park have to offer!

I love supporting the Canadian arts scene. There is so much talent that it has to offer. I enjoy volunteering at music festivals. I like listening to CBC Music and watching the Polaris Prize. I go to many concerts.

I enjoy documentaries, movies based on real life, and critically acclaimed films. I also enjoy musicals and movies in other languages (especially in French).

I prefer books that build emotion and are thought-provoking. One of my favourite books is Tuesdays With Morrie.

I will bring a positive, outgoing attitude throughout my stay. I enjoy socializing with hosts but can also keep to myself if preferred by the host. I am happy to purchase food, help cook, and clean up. I like giving a billet gift to hosts, whether that is a free meal, bottle of wine, etc.
