Overview
About Me
Hi,
my name is Juliane and I'm in my (ahem, late) twenties and living in Hamburg since 2012 after moving here from Berlin to start my Master Studies in Textile Management.
It's really hard for me to describe myself personalitywise, since I'm not always able to show all my facets at the first meeting. But once the nutshell is cracked, I would consider myself open-minded, curious and easy-going. But I guess it's best if you make your own impression. I love to spend time with my friends, like to go to concerts and really enjoy good drinks and vegetarian food.
I also enjoy travelling and am currently planning my first longer trip (6 weeks, yeah!) to Canada and Cuba in March and April.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Getting to know a country through its locals, is the best possible way I can imagine. And I made the experience that meeting and spending time with people from all over the world is really enriching and inspiring.
By the way - I've lived in shared flats for over 8 years, so I know how living with other people works and how to behave around your home in a considerate way.
Interests
I have to admit that I'm a hopeless Netflix-Junkie, since I like (binge-)watching all kinds of TV shows and movies. But when I'm not in front of my laptop, I love cooking, enjoy reading and listening to music. I don't really go to the museums as much as I would wish to, but I'm still quite fond of all kinds of art. I'm not really an athletic person, but I enjoy swimming and being outside with my dog-roommate. Oh yeah, I love dogs!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into all kinds of music, but I would say that I prefer (Indie-)Rock and have a huge weakness for 80s tunes (I'm not ashamed). Among my favourites are The Cure, Joy Divison, The Whitest Boy Alive and Alabama Shakes.
When it comes to books I like a variety of classics, crime novels and modern literature. I love Truman Capote, Bret Easton Ellis,Tom Rachman and Bernhard Schlink.
