ABOUT ME

Au Canada, j'étais éduquée en français, mais à Vancouver, la vie se passe en anglais. J'ai toujours voulu visiter la France. Etant gradué j'ai décidé qu'il n'y aurait pas un meilleur temps de partir - alors BAM, j'ai acheté un billet d'avion et voilà - Paris!!
Je suis ravie d'être ici et j'espère rencontrer d'autres voyageurs et quelques francophones en route :)

Ma nature est assez tranquille, mais j'apprécie les personnes mouvementés et énergétiques. Prête à vivre et à découvrir - et donc je voyage!

I am pretty darn easy going. Still looking for my calling in life (- but aren't we all!). In any case I am enjoying this trip to bits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far i have used CS to meet cool people for day trips - have yet to truly surf!
Je suis tout nouveau à couch surfing, mais j'ai entendu amplement de bonne choses. :)

Je viens de faire un séjour "workaway" au sud de la France, qui est un échange similaire. L'expérience était incroyable et un très bon début à mon tour de France.

J'ai trouvé une guitare classique au marché de puce (Voir photo de profile) C'est mon meilleur achat jusqu'à présent.
I found a classical guitar at a flea market!! I can play you a few songs, otherwise I'm happy to listen and learn!

Interests

Markets, apples from the markets. I love apples and plan to sample many more wonderful French apples along the way. Swimming, hiking, knitting, perusing, chatting, cooking, living, breathing, thinking, travelling.

Parler en français! C'était un grand catalyseur pour ce voyage, à toujours été et demeure une grande passion.

Music, Movies, and Books

On the Road And Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac.
Movies: Into the Wild, Jurassic Park, Blow, the Last Waltz, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Music: Most anything with guitar. The Band, Justin Townes Earle, Bob Dylan, Sam Roberts, Mississippi John Hurt.

String bands, brass bands, pipes, drums, voices, whatever gets thrown in there is fine with me. In a nutshell, any music is amazing if you can see (and feel) the performers pouring their hearts into it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Purchased a plane ticket for a solo adventure in France!! Yes this trip is definitely one of the most amazing thing I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Live life! So much easier said that done, but that's what we're so lucky to open our eyes through travelling. Something about it brings out a drive to learn, experience and connect with people, old and young, on a whole new level - and it happens in an instant.

It's pretty darn cool.
