About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working on an EP and a kid's book, and figuring out how to be rich enough to buy my parents a mansion.

ABOUT ME

I really like storytelling, and deep human themes.
I write songs on ukulele, and little bits of poetry, and I doodle. I dream of doing all kinds of things, but I think writing smart kid's books or smuggling opium would be pretty fun.

What else about me? I hope one day my house will have secret passages and lots of plants. I also run around town with my friends, sometimes in a tiger suit. Want to grab a coffee? Climb a tree? Learn ukulele? Too bad! I will only do math with you.

PHILOSOPHY

"Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
-Howard Thurman

Treat others how you want to be treated, and keep asking questions. Pursue beauty, and figure out what makes you come alive. Don't leave your body and live in your mind.

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything" - Mark Twain

"In every heart there is a coward and a procrastinator.
In every heart there is a god of flowers, just waiting
to stride out of a cloud and lift its wings." - Mary Oliver

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to join here after I first traveled through some hostels in Europe. I loved how open and sharing everyone was, and it reminded me there's hope for humanity. Offering strangers a bed for the night used to be part of cultures around the world, so I'm happy to help maintain global friendliness, and see corners of the world I wouldn't any other way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Good so far! Nice people in Oxford, Prague, Italy, and Berlin. Actually, some of the best times I've had have been with CS Groups.

Interests

I love when things I like make other people smile. I feel best when I'm with friends, playing music or checking out art together. I love exploring ruins and places with cobblestones, but I also love cooking and laying around with my family. Hide-and-go-seek and Capture the Flag are still fun for me, too. Having time alone to write and sing are also important for me.
I'm a kid at heart, so what makes me happiest is just having fun with people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sat naked with my family and relatives in a sauna next to a frozen lake in Sweden on New Years day, and dove through the ice. It was the coldest I've been. but later the most relaxed.

Climbing Mt. Sinai to watch the sunrise was unforgettable. Dawn was amazing on the rocks.

Hiking in Petra was stunning as well, and talking to some bedouins.

Working at a K-5 child care is fantastic. Kids are so cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play ukulele, guitar, or drums.
I can give writing tips, I suppose.
I've also done about five years of improv, and taught children, but I might be a little rusty.

Countries I’ve Visited
