About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I leave for Europe on January 14th. I'll be traveling for about 3 months and hope to make a bit of a loop. I'm starting off in Ireland and then going to the UK. I don't have a concrete plan from there, but I'd love to head south and make it all the way over to Greece or Turkey, then loop back around either through Central Europe or more north.
ABOUT ME
I absolutely love learning about new people and places in the world. I studied International Affairs in university, but now I'm ready to explore the world. It's not enough to just learn in a classroom. I love working with kids, especially in the outdoors/sports/not classroom setting, and worked at a summer camp throughout my time in university. I'm easy going and adaptable, and being a city person my whole life, I love venturing out and exploring new cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new to this thing, but I'm excited to try it out. I'm traveling, so obviously I'm not able to host people, but hopefully in the future when I'm more settled down I'll be able to contribute. I'm an easygoing person, happy to sleep on couches and floors, and while I'm a bit shy at first, and have no problem exploring new places on my own, but I love meeting new people and hearing their stories as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brand new to couchsurfing, a bit nervous about the whole thing, but excited to try it out at the same time.
Interests
I love traveling and exploring new areas, even if I'm not in a new place. I studied International Affairs in school, and although I'm not as sharp on current affairs as I used to be, I still find international politics very fascinating. I've been avidly studying Spanish since grades school, and love the opportunity to practice. I'm losing ground on my athleticism, but I still love to swim and I miss playing soccer terribly. I love watching soccer, and was born and raised on baseball.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not too picky about music, and my taste varies day by day.
I don't really have favorites when it comes to movies. I enjoy watching movies, but it's not something I go out of my way to do. I like witty, smart comedies, political dramas, action movies that have a good plot and characters. If it's a well made movie, I'll probably like it.
I love to read and am so glad that I'm out of university so that I actually have time to read the books that I want to read. The Harry Potter series will probably always be number one in my heart. I love character driven books, especially ones that create a whole new world to delve into. I'm currently a huge fan of Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, both the book and TV show).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Mali when I was 16 years old through an organization that I was a part of in high school. We participated in the groundbreaking of a school that our high schools had help to fund and met and lived with the community members.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm up to learning just about anything. Right now I would love to learn French, so any practice or help with that would be very fun. Be warned though: I still only know very basic French and my accent is pretty rough. I'm not the best cook, but I can cook some basic things and am always up to learning.
I can help teach you some English or Spanish, and I'm sure I could think of some other things along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good (hopefully) conversation, practicing English or Spanish (although my Spanish is far from perfect)
