About Me

24 years old, easygoing, with no idea why my profile says I'm 37 😂

I love exploring new places and meeting new people. I enjoy taking long walks in nature, people-watching in a cafe or having a beer. When I get the chance to, visiting a flea market or secondhand shop always keeps me happy.

Most days I work in the hospital as a doctor, nothing like grey's anatomy or scrubs haha, but there are a few interesting stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Experiences are better shared - eating takeout on a couch, sharing music and exchanging stories, discovering amazing bars and interesting shops - I couchsurf in hope that these shared moments provide character and depth to every new place I travel to.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last book I read was Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, while on a train in Norway last year. I admit there hasn't been much time to read recently due to work.. :( though a few other books I would recommend include The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and Blindness by Jose Saramago, Never Let Me Go, and The Last Lecture.

Movies... I would have to go with "I Am Sam", my favorite tear jerker. Some other movies I love include an Italian classic "a beautiful life", pixar's "up", "love and other drugs" and my favourite comedies would be classics I grew up watching and re-watching like "sister act" and "parent trap".

As for music, it's hard to compartmentalise, in general I enjoy songs that tell a good story, or remind me of a place/time/person. Some genres I dabble in are folk, acoustic, pop, 60s-80s music, tropical house, soul, indie rock/pop, and electronic music in the mix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a month working on organic farms in Norway

Paraglided over the Switzerland alps

Eating fried tarantulas in Cambodia; eating maggots in China
