About Me

Hello there !
Young french girl talking. I just turned nineteen and about to start travelling (for real!) Born and raised in Angers, a small but awesome city in France, I flew to Australia two weeks after graduating from high school. For the past seven months, I've been an aupair in an awesome family with two lovely and spirited girls who inspired me through all these weeks. Sadly enough, my time with them is coming to an end. My plan is to do travel as much as I can in a month before heading back home where I'll pursue my studies in history of art.
I guess I'm just easy-going and passionate about what I do. My motto in life is to never take anything for granted and to live as fully as I can. Do not be afraid of aging cause with age comes wisdom ;) but I still want to enjoy this period of my life where my mind is new and my bones strong. Planning on living a happy life filled with laughters, books, travels and good food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling on my own for a month and I'd love to meet locals for once, I love backpackers, we're all in the same business you know but it would be great to have someone to show me around. I love listening to people, cheesy but true, we have so much to share. Over the months I learnt that bonding with people is way easier than you thought. It just takes a good discussion, some wine and someone to talk to. I've always been frustrated to see so many people passing next to me all the time without knowing anything about them, meeting new people is like reducing that aha. There's no word to express how grateful I am to have met so many inspiring people through my experience, I just wish it would never end!

Interests

Well travelling, duuuuuh. I'm really fond of reading, pretty much all kinds of books, I feel an extreme joy when I buy one. Currently writing what going to be the next bestseller (Even better than the Bible or Harry Potter), you'll ofter see me writing. I studied cinema for three years, I enjoy taking photos of everything that catches my eyes during my spare time. I'll also be making a short movie about what it's like travelling alone so I'll probably take shots of you if you agree. I love cooking and baking too !
I enjoy going to the museum a lot. My main goal is to become a tourist guide so I'm really into art galleries. I lately discovered all the arborigene art has to offer, it's breath taking!
Here in Brisbane I go to the movies approx. twice a week. (Loved Deadpool, Brooklyn, Room and the Revenant so far this year!) I'm basically a movie nerd and can get very excited about that.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite director is Wes Anderson, that's a complete "white girl thing" but I just adore this guy. I think Leonardo DiCaprio is a genius and he hasn't been bad in any of his movies . Used to love Tim Burton, he's basically doing the same thing over and over now. French people think they own cinema ; i think we're a bunch of arrogant baguettes.

Roald Dahl is my hero. Love classic french authors, Rimbaud, Verlaine, Maupassant, Flaubert. Addicted to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Kerouac, Ginsberg and all those cool kids. Patti Smith's pretty awesome too.

Folk girl, Bob Dylan.
The Kooks, Gabrielle Aplin, Twenty one pilots, Simon & Garfunkel, Jeff Buckley and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm more than happy to cook, jam, dance and have fun with you. I'm looking for people to share moments with but I'm also happy to let you on your own. I hope we'll cook diners together, I'll make you cookies and share with you my idealist philosophy.
