My friend told me about couchsurfing and I thought I'd give it a try! Sounds like a neat idea and it would be great to spend some time with locals who know the area I'm staying in

I swam with whale sharks in Mexico. There were literally hundreds of them in the area, and we were told that it was because there was a full moon the night before. We were also swimming alongside giant manta rays and turtles
