I'm a travel and documentary photographer originally from Alsace in France, even if I now spend most of my time abroad. I love more than anything discovering new places and cultures, meeting people and making new friends. When travelling I need to really experience the local culture and usually stay away from very touristic places or attractions. *update* I am now living a much more sedentary life in France and getting involved into actions around ecology and raising awareness about more sustainable lifestyles.

Some of my friends were telling me "but with all your travels, you're still not on couch surfing?!". So, it's now done! :)

It's true it could be a good way, amongst others, to meet locals and make new friends when I first step in a country/town...
