I've taken a couple of years off my 'real' job to explore the world and satisfy my curiosity. Currently travelling Canada..next stop Central and South America!!

Fun loving kinda girl, from Ireland but living and working in Toronto the past year...and now travelling Western Canada. I love to laugh and smile and have fun in general!! Love new experiences and challenges, meeting new people etc. I tend to take life as it comes and enjoy the company of like minded people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im a newbie to couchsurfing but looking forward to seeing how it all works and meeting lots of interesting people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've just had my first couch surfing experience in Canmore, Canada that my friend organised, which led me to join this great community! We've had an awesome time here, now looking to continue this where ever the wind takes me!

Movies: Depends on my mood some of my favourites are: Sleepers, The Departed, Shawshank Redemption, Trainspotting, Harry Potter, Les Miserables, Road Trip, Pulp Fiction, Dead Poets Society..the list goes on to be honest!!
Music: Everything under the sun apart from heavy metal. Have been at a few awesome festivals / concerts over the past few months..Spring Awakening in Chicago; Digital Dreams in Toronto; Regina Spektor; Rihanna; Swedish House Mafia...always on the look out for more though!!
Books: Millenium Trilogy (Girl with the Dragon Tatoo); Wild Swans; The Beach; Mr. Nice; The Story of O; Atonement; Amsterdam; Lord of the Flies; Who moved my Cheese; and tons more...reading is one of my fave pastimes especially when I travel!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Done: I lived in Cambodia for over a month and volunteered in a school there during that time. Even though it was tough work, the kids happy faces every morning made it so worthwhile.
Seen: Ayers Rock - So vast and such a spiritual place; sunset there is some experience.

I've travelled to lots of places and learned a few tricks along the way.. I can set up a campsite; I can play a few musical instruments, I can speak a few languages; I can listen; I can have fun! I love to learn about other cultures and listen to peoples' experiences; I try to immerse myself in the culture wherever I am; I'm definately someone who learns by doing and I appreciate all that travelling throws my way!!
