ABOUT ME

I am a lover of life, friends, personal growth, people, animals, and of course...travelling and couches. I have lived in Brisbane most of my life, we the exception of a few years spent in the states (Seattle, New York). I am leaving my desk job now to travel the world, experience different cultures, learn about myself and give time and passion to my true love of writing.

PHILOSOPHY

Love is usually always the answer. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. Listen more than you talk. Look for the best in people. Respect animals. Love and take care of the elderly. Look to understand more than judge. Find joy in the moment. Life is transient, don't take it too seriously. Life is precious, value what you have. Everyone is doing the best they can. Be an example of the change you wish to see in the world. Heart over head any day.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people and learning all about you, your life, and what makes you tick. I love soaking up different cultures and environments. Whether it's cooking, sight-seeing, sharing stories or going out for a drink or meal, I will enjoy sharing my time with you. I am also an avid story-teller, and can create a compelling atmosphere and juicy plot-line out of just about anything for your personal entertainment :-) I am not in a position to host CS at the moment as I am about to take off on my own adventure, but am looking forward to welcoming you, your experiences and your stories into my home once I'm settled again.

Travel, mindfulness meditation, yoga, writing, comedy, theater, hiking, talking... I find it easy to be interested in nearly everything, whilst at the same time being incredibly bored by television, the news, unmotivated people and celebrity gossip.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have run eight marathons (didn't train for one!) since age 20, despite always coming last in running during my high school years. Without a doubt, it was mind over matter.

I have spent the last ten years learning and teaching both devotional and mindfulness meditation, and studying life, nature and spirituality. I have learnt a lot during this time, and love sharing my knowledge and hearing yours. I love philosophising about many things, from the meaning of life to whether cats are better than dogs. It can be light or deep, it's the connection I'm after and love. I also LOVE words - writing, editing, speaking, story-telling - if you are looking for a conversation partner or similar, consider me a fab option!
