ABOUT ME

Salut, My name is Julien e eu sou um francês qui habite no Brasil!

I think that weird sentence which mixes up French, English and Portuguese can easily sum up my current situation! Well, as you might have guessed, I'm a french guy living in Brazil and fluent in English.
If you ask the persons I have lived with and travelled with, they'd probably say that I'm an outgoing person who has easy contacts with other cultures and who loves to tell stories about his trips! I'm found of speeking other languages and I can manage in English, Portuguese, German and French of course! If not too busy, I'm always ready to show my foreign friends the day and night cool spots of where I live, so that you remember it!
To sum-up all this, I'll use three words that I think describe me the BEST:
# Optimistic, because I always see a happy ending!
# Dreamer, when I plan my trips and listen to others stories
# Sharing, because that's how you meet crazy people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sometimes show up at the couchsurfing events, but what I like the most is to show around the city and the nightlife.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I was more used to sleep in hostels while travelling, but I'm a beginner in couch surfing! Never surfed for the moment!
I'm always hosting lot's of friends at home, but most of the time they aren't couchsurfers, but friends of friends and random people I met travelling.

Interests

Well as I'm na engineer dealing with public transportation, I love to take my time in the transports and rather walk when it's possible, even if Salvador is a hectic city!
I'm also a confirmed scuba diver and I love to shoot underwater photos, and share pictures and stories.
I try to change my habits all the time in order to enjoy the city and country where I live!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life changing experiences?
Swimming next to a 12m whale shark in cristal clear water in Mozambique, without hesitation!
Another breathtaking experience was during a project in the Republic of Congo, I went with the fieldworkers to see a local sorcer in order to stop the rain from falling! Didn't work!
