About Me

Hello to all :)

Julien 30 years old, I started a sabbatical 1 year ago, despite the Covid19 I started my journey by starting to return to my parents to live near them during the Covid. After enjoying my family and childhood friends for 8 months, I decided to go abroad.
I sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from Croatia to Grenada, then I continued my journey by another boat to sail in the West Indies.
My path now takes the direction of the American continent to discover new cultures and live longer there.

Also know that, over the past 6 years, I have changed my outlook on the world. Meetings, films, documentaries, my learned that it was time to work for a more sustainable world closer to nature. I enjoy sharing, educating myself on all the information on ecology.
Over the past few years, I have acquired some skills on zero waste, finding solutions to consume locally, using less energy-efficient transport, repairing bicycles, etc.
I like living near people who have changed their daily lives for a healthier life.

I would like to participate in local projects, because I find that there is nothing better to understand and live the daily life of the people I meet on the road.

I am a very outgoing person and love listening to stories from new people I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I could afford youth hostels but in the past, around 8 years ago. I had made several
couchsurfing and I remember the incredible emotions it feels when a stranger opens the doors of her home for us to offer a place to sleep. I have traveled by bicycle in France and several times in the same way doors have opened without even wanting to.
I am looking for that emotion that a hotel or an inn can never offer. The pleasure of offering on the part of the host and the pleasure of receiving on the part of the traveler.
These exchanges make me think of hitchhiking, I love meeting people by the greatest of luck.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music changes like the days. One day of rap, the day after techno and the Irish music weekend maybe

I love movies so much that I couldn't quote them all. But I particularly like documentaries, true stories, Tarantinos, complicated films (inception, fight club, shutter island)
And auteur films in small cinema!
