Hi there!

I'm Julien, a French guy from Lyon. In 2014, New Zealand was the first step of my long trip around the world and I really enjoyed to discover the Kiwi culture and to do many differents jobs there! :) After that, I moved to Australia to work as an architect in Melbourne (1year) where I fall in love about their coffee culture. I'm open minded and I love learning or discovering new things. Since my childhood, I traveled a lot in Europe and I lived in Lisbon during an Erasmus exchange. I have also increase the number of countries visited since two years : Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Tasmania, New Zealand...etc.

At the moment, my jam is meditation and sustainable construction, définitely strawbale or earth buildings :) As well, I will love so much to learn the basics of traditional Japanese carpentry and joinery. But the most important for me is to share great time with peoples who I met on the road and come back in France with amazing « souvenirs »:)

Currently, I'm in Japan with my girlfriend for a new year of challenges.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I used a lot Couchsurfing during my year in Lisbon. I received many guests in my apartment and I had several coffee time with others. I also did a lot of Help X in New Zealand and in Australia. Now I want to come back on couchsurfing, without work exchange, just have the most simple relation : chill and exchange cultural things.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

- Vipassana meditation retreat (10 days without spoking and technologies, only meditation)
- Keep a farm in the middle of nowhere in the New Zealand Alps.
- Snowboarding at Wanaka with the view on the lake.
- Snorkeling in Koh Tao (Thailand).
- Parachute jumping in Alps (France)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

The sustainable construction! I like to share or explain about that. Discover new way for living better also. Entrepreneurship and management of change are my future professional challenges. But I'm definitely​ a very curious person so I could listen every stories from host during hours :)
