Hi,

My name is Juliette, I'm French, and I started traveling on my own at 20 with the challenge of not flying, out of environmental reasons, but also because I got used to it and became scared of flying now! I overlanded from Southern Africa to Eastern Africa, the Middle East to Europe then to Central Asia and South East Asia, and all the way to Japan, where I was living until recently. I came all the way back from Japan to Georgia in 2 weeks! I was rushing to go to Jordan where I was supposed to be working for an internship, but everything got cancelled when the war started, just I was about to overland to Irak... After changing plans 10 times, my new plan is to overland to West Africa where I'll find an internship (hopefully). Hence, I am now overlanding back to Europe and willing to meet people on the way!

Back in France I'm a student very curious about everything but can't stop moving so I travel on a budget with my friends and I do all sorts of activities like organizing a music festival! I love theater, music (I want to discover new genres), food (a lot, cooking and eating), handicrafts... coffee with a view is what brings me joy the most (and chocolate, which I really miss now).

I travel to meet people with different ways of life and different visions of the world, to educate myself and discover another culture through local eyes!
I love Couchsurfing for bringing together respectful and adventurous human beings, who I always love spending time with, even when there's a language barrier :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people while traveling and learn about a country through its people. When I settle after my trip and have a place on my own, I would love to welcome couchsurfers :))

Interests

I like music, I started drumming this year and really enjoy it! I need to move to feel happy, like walking until I'm exhausted, or dancing. I'm not really into clubbing or drinking, but more about having fun. I also like chill evenings playing cards or board games. I love learning, any subject! Also a big fan of coffee 😁
