ABOUT ME

We love nature, having a barbecue at the beach, hiking in the mountains, getting to know the history of different places, getting to know new people and things in life...
We would describe ourselves as easy going, fun to be with and respectful - but well, all those characteristics are relative and always depend on the eye of the beholder...so the best way to get to know us is in person..
Julia works at a lawyer's office in Hamburg and Ted takes care of our big family. We love spending our free time in nature, riding our bikes, the horse, going climbing or to the beach - a far as time and the weather allows it, but also apreciate the beautiful and cosy dinners shared with family and friends during the wintertime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering our couch, if possible show you around and go somewhere if you come to visit Hamburg.

Whenever it is possible we will be happy to go out with you, cook together, maybe take you to the horse or climbing, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Has been very positive so far. We have hosted several people at home and have stayed with great people in Frankfurt, Dresden, and Argentina. Respect towards the person who is hosting you is certainly most important, we had in general great and fun cs experiences so far!

Interests

Sports (horseback riding, biking, hiking, climbing) spending time with friends and family, enjoying nature,surfing, skateboarding, swimming... and there are yet so many things to do...life becomes really short if you open your mind towards all the possibilities..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Julia: seeing a turtle and a stingray when snorkeling,
gallopping with my horse through the snow in the middle of a winterstorm...walking over a Patagonian glacier and my baby.
Ted: Nature is amazing, I love fishing and motorcross. A new born baby, lots of other things in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

We would be happy to show / teach some of our languages, culture, horsebackriding, surfing, skateboarding, climbing... we'll see what we would have time for..
